Eco Station One by Edwin Stark

Meet Eduardo Sinnombre, a regular jobless shmoe who lands an accounting job at a shady ecological research operation, deeply seated in a Venezuelan rainforest. The guys running it really don’t care if he’s qualified for the task; they only want him as a scapegoat since they’re heavily plucking a big software company’s pockets.
Eduardo has gone through life shrugging many things off… until now, when he suddenly finds something to care about; Eco Station One is facing certain doom in the form of a modern highway that threatens to expose the entire setup.
In Eco Station he meets a cast of zany characters which include Dr. Farmington, the eccentric doctor in charge of the camp; Harry, the helpful genetically enhanced gorilla that becomes Eduardo’s best friend; Marina, his future lover and the Mendoza Clan, four cousins that promptly take sides in Eduardo’s struggle to delay Eco Station’s untimely destruction.
Along the way he faces many adventures, including Marina’s kidnapping by the native Ikawiri Pygmies, fighting an awesome rainforest fire and some strange experimentation with a curious aphrodisiac poison.
